An inspiring start that whets the appetite for more.

In the beginning was the word, as John begins his gospel. We took this thought with us on our pilgrimage, inviting freedom, openness and lightness into the “Open Chapel” in Jager at the start of the pilgrimage tour, taking us step by step to a level that allowed us to rediscover ourselves.

We were seven women, including Kathrin Brozio, who gave suggestions for writing, and myself, Sabine Petters, who accompanied the pilgrims.

Pilgrimage and nature writing have one thing in common: they leave room for the very personal. Everyone goes their own way, finds their own pace - and ultimately their own words.

At the end of our little journey, we were amazed at the variety of texts that emerged - so different, so individual, so lively. I would like to share with you one text that was written during this time:

Chestnuts
Strongly connected
We belong together
are in the right place
arrived
